wing mirrors.

Hi everyone. Has anyone got any recommendations for extension wing mirrors for my Discovery. I need some when towing the caravan.

Thanks

The ones that clip over the mirrors with two big rubber bands seem to work OK and are quite cheap. They look a bit flimsy but they don't fall off. I use them abroad as they are required by law in some European countries, but I find them no particular use in the UK. The Rangie (and Disco) are wide enough to make any increase in field of vision marginal, and I find the different curvature makes things more confusing. As soon as I am in the ferry terminal, they come off and stay off. On a narrow saloon car they may be of some help.

We've tried them in the past, but don't use them. We've towed our caravan with the Range Rover and the Discovery and have found that some adjustment of the glass on the wing mirror was enough. We also have a large window at the rear of the caravan and make sure that the curtains/blinds are open and that the partition door can't slide across, so have a view directly out the back anyway. It may be that different countires have different laws that require them, but if you are only towing in the UK, I'd try without first.
