Questions from new RX300 owner

Wife & and just bought a certified pre-owned 2001 RX300. So far we love almost everything about it, but here are a few complaints and questions.

1.) Front seat armrests - These are too small to be useful & comfortable. We are used to having a high center console to rest against. Has anyone found a replacement armrest out there that is more useful? Can the armrest be easily replaced?

2.) I know there is a cargo net available for the RX. Where/how does it attach in the rear cargo area?

3.) Is the automatic climate control supposed to cycle the a/c on/off as needed? Ours doesn't, but it seems like the owners manual indicates that it will. Ours adjusts the air temp but leaves the compressor on continuously.

4.) Does anyone have favorite sites for aftermarket accessories? I've googled a few and ebay, but looking for your faves.

5.) Anyone have preferences for car waxes to use?

6.) Anyone have any issues getting warranty service on your certified vehicle?

Thanks, Murph

It is supposed to cycle on/off as needed. On what basis do you think it is not doing so? If you are expecting the light on the dash to cycle, it doesn't work this way - it stays on continuously even if the compressor is cycling on/off.

For answers to some of your questions see below!!!!

The cargo net kit includes hooks that replace a couple of the screws & covers in the rear cargo area near the back hatch

Meguiers make a good non abrasive wax, I recommend there products.

Being Certified you have basically the same waranty as a new RX300 only the time/miles are different so you should have no problems

I agree with this. I end up not using the driver arm rest and will actually use the passenger one if no one else is in the car. A console arm rest would be great. I did some searching in the past and did not have any luck.
