RX300 Tires

May 28, 2004 2 Replies

I have a 2000 RX300 and am going to need tires in about 5000 miles. Any suggestions for the best performance for highway miles. Currently have Bridgestones on it and am happy with them but will consider any other brands..

Also, anyplace better than Tirerack to buy them?

I have a 2000 RX-300 and switched to Michelin Cross-Terrains at 25,000 because the OEM Goodyears were frightening in the rain. These are great all weather tires, quiet, good grip and I've always had good wear from Michelins. I bought them at Tire Rack, who dropshipped to a recommended local installer and saved $240 bucks over local purchase from the same installer. I highly recommend Cross Terrains.

I too have a 2000 RX-300 and have been amazed that we have gotten 50k miles on the original Goodyear Integritys,...but they are scary on anything but dry pavement. I am about to buy a set of Michelin LTX M/S when they go on sale at Costco next week. They are generally reported to have not only excellent tread life, but very good traction. I'm planning to upsize from the

225/70R16 size to 235/65R16 as well. Don in Denver,..... where it does snow ;-)
