Last month we leased a 2005 ES 330, with the intention of adding satellite radio post purchase. Contrary to the web site touting the availability of both XM and Sirius, I am now told that "Lexus Central" advises that Sirius can only be installed in vehicles with the Navigation system. Funny that they would point out that Navigation system equipped vehicles don't have a cassette player, but fail to advise that vehicles without the Navigation system are limited to XM.
Setting the apparent misrepresentation aside for a moment, does anyone have any contrary advise as to whether and how I can do a Sirius install which will function through the radio controls and display (I know I can do an external controller...but who would want to)?
BTW, I am not looking for opinions as to the relative merits of XM and Sirius - I've had XM for three years and its time for a change now that Sirius offers Radio Margarittaville.
