1987 Porsche 944 Camshaft bolt

Does anyone know if the Camshaft bolt, the internal splined cheesehead one, undoes clockwise or anticlockwise from the front? Can't get it to shift.

In my experience, bolts always undo the opposite way to the usual rotation of the pulley.
