If you know it doesn't work, how come you don't know where the switch is?
If you mean the relay, there are a couple of relay boxes. One is under the bonnet on the passenger side, the other is beneath the steering wheel.

Thanks for your help Stu. You're quite right i did mean relay. i think it must be the one under the steering wheel because it had been working but when I went to switch it on last week there was a popping sound which eminated from in front of me.
