My Son and a pal are thinking of doing the Barcelona Bangers event this year:
Suggestions welcomed as to what might be the best car to look for.
I'm thinking old-school diesel, but can't really come up with anything specific.

Old merc 190 or similar.
You're going to struggle to get anything for 250 quid these days - with the price of scrap being so high, especially in these post-scrappage scheme days.
Up my way the scrapyards have =A3250 minimum bid on every car that goes through the auctions. A Merc 180 is worth about =A3350 scrap,bigger =A3410. Can`t see it being any better elsewhere.
