as title really. what is the best fluid for the power steering on a vauxhall?? can i use the same fluid that is suitable for a BX hydrolic system ?

With most things like this it's best to consult the handbook. It's almost certain Vauxhall have used different specs of PS fluid over the years.

Slim to no chance that any of them was LHM, though.

Yup. My guess would be Dexron II or III given it's a GM product.

thanks everyone for your replies. i will buy a half litre from the local main dealers, hopefully it will have some specs printed on the label.
