Yes.
Or, more helpfully, your owner's handbook should have the information on basic bulb replacement.
Perhaps if you are not able to carry out the task, you might be better off going to Halford's, where they have a low-priced fitting service for such items.

You have to remove the whole rear light cluste to gain access to the bulbs. There are two nuts to remove from inside the boot which hold the cluster on.
unfortunatly these are sealed for life units, no chance of removing them so im afraid your going to have to ditch the ole golf, scrappage value perhaps & buy a new one ;o)
& now its back to work for me, i have a a6 1.8 turbo with the head off waiting to be re-built, pain in the arse job, rear timing chain to drive both cams & it also has a front timing belt ! should keep me out of mischief for a few hours :o)

It does: says take it to the dealer as only trained techincans should change bulbs.
It was surprisingly easy.

lol, reminds me of the old joke, how many VW technicians does it take to change a light bulb !
Crap though, isn't it? Surely a bulb should be one item that should be replaceable by the driver by the roadside? It's a requirement on the continent to carry spare bulbs - how do you tell the foriegn policeman that you can't actually change it?
