brake pistons?

What's the best way to free a sticking piston on a Nissan Serena 1.6 1997 - Its the front drivers side brake that free's its self then sticks on full after a 10min drive then left over night frees up again.

Many Thanks Martin

It's possible that you have a problem with the brake hose. If it's perished and a bit of it partially blocks the hose it can act like a valve so that the fluid gets into the cylinder and can't get back out again when take your foot off the brake. This diagnosis is backed up by the fact that overnight the brake frees, i.e the brake fluid seeps back past the blockage.

Try replacing the hose. You need to be wary that some bits might have got into the cylinder and you should try to get them out by bleeding with the nipple completely removed and the piston right back in the cylinder.

Rob you hit the nail on the head! It was the hose plus loads off bits of dirt came with it - now they go back themselves at last!!!
