Hi All I recently had the off side rear brake caliper replaced on my Mazda 626 as it had siezed. I notice the problem as the wheel was heating up an there was a smell of burning rubber. Now the problem is fixed however I have noticed both the front wheel are heating up, although there is no burning smell and they don't seem to get as warm as the the back one. What could be wrong? Calipers are expensive and it is only about 30K miles since I had the near side front one replaced. Can anyone advise me?

Doesn't sound like there is anything wrong, you would expect some heating if the front wheels, due to friction in the bearings, and normal brake use. You are probably just more aware of it now, after having trouble with the rear.

When you say 'wheels' do you mean tyres? Tyres always get a bit warm if you go any distance. Maybe you'd not noticed this before you had the brake trouble.
