had the new clutch and recon gearbox fitted to the starcraft...but the speedo cable is fubar
still not sure on the engine, someone who has seen it says its a pug unit, but branded as a ford and could be from a early tranny....the gearbox is a type 9 longnose.
so would it still be possible to get one of these? i dont have a engine number,....bah

It's the type 9 bit that's significant, so a 5 speed seirra cable should fit.
There are companies which make speedo cables to any spec.

thanks, i wasnt sure if both ends matched up, say same box but mated to a diff engine..
i need to find out why the temp gauge doesnt work also, its a diesel engine, maybe 2.4/2.5 so thats my next job..
whats the engine like? its noisy, but i have a 5k euro trip in a few months, wondering if it has any weak points...never had a ford, never mind a diesel before!
Brakes arnt too great, but then im using a T3 vw...feels much softer and not as sharp..
They're rattly old things..
M16 calipers? Try changing the pads to EBCs.
