Okay....we got the speedo cable out of the hub of my son's 67 bug.....now does someone out there have a tricl they can with us to get in back in???

Have you popped off the dust cap? Try that, see if it comes through. Where are you having problems getting it in? Wheel? Body? Try the dust cap thing, get it lined up and square with the dustcap, slide it over, then get it on however one is supposed to. I hammer a socket around where the speedo pops out. Make sure you get the circlip on there as well.

We are trying to get the cable back into the back of the wheel hub..we do have the dust cap off and just can't get the cable through the hub itself...We're not giving up...well, not yet.

Just push it in through the backside of the drum, through the cap and put a little cotterpin into the end it to keep it there.
