Cleaning throttle body (removed)

What's the best way to clean a throttle body that is removed from the car? If I remove the TPS & ISCV sensors is it ok to soak the body overnight in paraffin to loosen the crud?

Get 'cleaning' cellulose thinners. Often called 'cooking thinners'. Quite good enough for washing purposes, and much cheaper than that made for spraying. Last can I baught cost about £6 for 5 litres. Mike.

Netto had an inexpensive, small ultrasonic cleaner on sale some time ago. Primarily it was for home jewelry cleaning. If you have to clean small car parts *regularly*, a device such as this, which can produce super-clean, back to factory-fresh components effortlessly, may be worth considering.
