cleaning upholstery

What's the best stuff to get stains out of seats etc? They're not leather, cloth stuff.

Depends entirely on what the stain is. For general cleaning up I usually soak the covers in a warm solution of bio washing powder, leave it for a few hours for the enzymes to get their teeth into the grime, then wash the seats with a carpet cleaner. Using a wide carpet cleaning head on upholstery is a bastard but I've never been able to obtain an upholstery head.

The best cleaning of seats I've ever seen was at a valeters, they removed 'em from the car and blasted 'em through with a pressure washer, they came out like new, and not as wet as you'd think...
