Fertan

Has anyone here used this product to treat rust? I've just brushed/rubbed down rusty rear wheel arches/sills on my Clio and treated the metal/rusty bits with fertan. If anyones used it, how does it rate in your experience? I did intend to use primer next, then paint, but I had to scrape off the rubbery sealant stuff to get to the rust - where do I get this stuff from, and is it simple to apply? Any better suggestions would be very welcome, as am a diy dunce! Thanks in advance,

Chris

What about black under body seal??? it tries rubbery

If you are anywhere near Sheffield, try Walter Fox + Partners for the goop. You did check for rust inside the arches didn't you?

Anyways, just about any body shop supplier can sort you out for the goopy stuff. Do not use ordinary bathroom type sealants as the acetic acid will wreak havoc.
