Fiesta turns left by itself

Hello -

I've just had my Fiesta serviced at a Ford dealer that I haven't used before. They replaced the lower suspension arm on the driiver's side, and I suspect they didn't check the tracking afterwards, because:

1) When the car is going in a straight line, the steering wheel is now tilted about 10 degrees to the left. 2) When I let go of the steering wheel, the car now *gradually* turns left.

Presumably this is not acceptable and the dealer needs to put it right free-of-charge. I've already decided that this dealer is incompetent and unreasonably expensive. Any tips on how to approach them and avoid being fobbed off?

Thanks

They may have checked it, but it doesn't sound like they adjusted it properly...

Often, to save time, only one side is adjusted. This puts the tracking right but leaves the steering wheel crooked amongst other things.

I would suggest that a confident and polite approach to start with will be more effective than a rant. You can always save that for later!

Care to name and shame?

Chris

Polite but firm at first. Then threaten with Trading Standard if that doesn't work.
