I have a Citreon Berlingo van coming up to 3 years old. Sometimes in the morning when I switch the ignition on the red battery light on the dashboard starts flashing. It doesn't turn over very well either, I think if it didn't start first time it wouldn't turn the engin over again.

first guess would be that the battery is dying, any car shop will test it.
+1, but 3 years is quite a short life for a modern battery IME. Might not a failing alternator also give these symptoms?
Maybe, but either way, a free test at a car shop will tell the answer.
