Hi everyone,
I am thinking of doing a booze run to Calais, I will be going to Eastenders warehouse, fill up with fuel and straight back. Should I need to get my car legal for France, or take the chance? What would I need to do to get it French legal?
I know I need a complete bulb set and a red triangle, light beam converters; Although I don't intend any night driving, I am just going to hit and run with their cheap booze, fags and fuel.
Any advise would be appreciated.

Halfrods do ones you put inside the rear windscreen - attach like tax disc holders.

For a one day visit I'd consider GB stickers, beam benders, warning triangles etc as recommendations. As UK insurance doesn't cover the continent it's essential to inform your insurance company. Most don't charge. Those that do- it's another example of ripoff Britain. I've asked drivers from most continental countries and they don't pay extra, or have to inform their insurance company when they drive anywhere else. DaveK.

Or rub vaseline into the paintwork before sticking it on...wipe it mostly off and apply sticker. Or better yet, stick it to the window so it'll come off cleanly.
