I want to drain and refill the gearbox - it's the later AL4 one with the complicated electronics. According to Haynes, there is a sensor which measures fluid wear and makes the Sport and Winter lights flash when the fluid needs draining. I don't trust the sensor, and the gearbox shifts like s*it which is why I want to refill it.
So Haynes suggests that if you DIY, you have to get the fluid sensor reset by a Peugeot garage otherwise it will report the next change too soon. This makes me trust the sensor even less as it is obviously mileage related.
Is it possible to reset the sensor without taking it to the dealer, and if so, how? I don't want to DIY the whole service then get charged £££ for Peugeot to do something trivial like reset a sensor.
