Is there any practical way to speed up the hardening of Aerosol paint? I've just sprayed a bit of the car which is behind the passenger wing mirror, and I can't put the mirror back on as it would rub through the soft paint. Does heating work? I've got a big heater and so far I've managed not to melt anything...

I have used a 500 watt floodlight , this works to harden paint quite well, even outdoors.
Yes with heat, I painted my ashtray in black today by warming it first by using a small space heater to accelerate the drying prosess.
