How to adjust the idle speed on a Rover Metro Injection 1.4

Does anyone know to adjust the idle speed on a Rover Metro 1993 Injection 1.4 engine?

The message from "Gary" contains these words:

It's not adjustable. Something is telling the ECU that it wants a high idle - perhaps a dead temperature sensor.

not user adjustable, check for air leaks if too high

Same way they used to do it at the Rover factory, with a hammer.
