So how are they going to fix this? Just de-tune all their engines? Can they ?fix? this without significant power loss?Presumably they lied about CO2 emissions to achieve a lower taxation band.

I watched that the whole way through (and managed to stay awake). The conclusion appeared to be that the EU has set NOx levels lower than necessary, and that most air pollution is from other sources. There was a passing reference to brake and tyre particulates being far higher than those from engines. They didn't draw the possibly obvious conclusion that battery powered vehicles could be more polluting in this regard.
So the conclusion seemed to be "not dangerous".
