Ka blower motor

Hi,

No blow on any setting. Got resistor pack out and it seems like all 4 resistors allow current through. What do you reckon... pack, motor or something else?

Thanks,

Peter.

What do you mean, "seems like..."? Have you tested for voltage on the motor side of the resistors?

Normally, when the resistor pack fails, you still get the fan operating at the fastest speed.

No, I tested for continuity across each one and they all have it.

Yes, that's why I suspect it's something else as it never runs. It's not the fuse either!

Thanks,

Peter.

put power and earth straight to the fan to see what happens. if it works, trace back to where there is no power or no earth.

Hmm.... appears to be the motor itself so ordered one from scrap yard. I can't get to the old one however, has anyone here had to do this before? I got stuck getting the pollen filter housing out (gap not big enough).

Thanks,

Peter.
