kia picanto la 1.1 temp

when i start the engine the temp symble stays blue for some time,is this normal,it goes off after about 5 mins.

no just bought car other day,will have to get one,thanks i dont need to worry about that now

normal, if it's off blue it's up to temp.

Wish they'd fit gauges though - by the time the red idiot light comes on the engine is screwed....

Effectively, gauges fitted to modern cars are no more use than a set of three lights.

The ECU modifies the temperature sender signal so that the needle stays in the middle over a very wide temperature range. It could be replaced by a tri-state LED.
