LADA NIVA COSSACK front wheel bearings

Yes, they are taper rollers, very easy to change. You'll probably find they are all right and just need adjusting.

Under the big chrome cap on the hub you'll find a nut that has been peened into two grooves on the shaft, this stops it coming loose once you've set the bearings.

When I had mine I used to jack the wheel off the ground and tighten the nut up just tight enough to remove all slack plus a bit more then spin the wheel a couple of times. This makes sure the bearings are all seated firmly. Next slacken off the nut and start tightening it stopping to spin the wheel and feel for play at the wheels edge at regular intervals. I used to stop when I could just detect play.

Peen in the nut to stop it coming loose, job done. You may have a problem with the nut being shagged after a couple of times of doing this. Using the nut from a different wheell may get around this or you could buy some more nuts.

Wheel bearings are about £28 - where on earth would I buy a new lada from with a years test and new tyres and exhaust for that? Or maybe you were being cocky - one comes here for help if you can't help go and bother somebody else.

You'll increase the value of that car ten fold, unless you take into account labour costs in which case infinitely so.
