Given the regularity with which they get serviced (I'm biased as I use them a lot at work & have seen them fail) it's still worth considering.
It's one thing to demolish your car by dropping it's engine onto it. It's another thing entirely to be underneath it at the time.
Exactly. Think about where you put your arms when you're hanging a hard heavy thing off a crap winch.
