Dear All,

The joints are cheap enough ... how much of a bastard is fitting them?

I've just done two on ours - much easier than I thought and easier than the HBOL says.

You'll want a proper screw type ball-joint splitter. The only other bit I thought would be a pain was separating the joints from the shaft, of course, but with the aid of a normal claw hammer they bashed off ok. You have to play with the angle of the driveshaft a bit to get a good enough swing but they pop off quite easily.

Have you got a manual?

Oh, and the hub nuts are tight. Not TIGHT, but tight. I used a chunky socket wrench with a 3' length of iron pipe on it and they were easy enough to move.

Another pain I just remembered was undoing the nuts and bolts at the bottom of the suspension leg as they're a bit made-of-cheese and they corrode due to where they are. I used a *good* six-sided socket on the nuts with a spanner, wedged into the works, on the bolt and they came undone ok.

Just the Haynes Fantasy. Direct experience is very welcome - thanks!

Ian
