Mondeo Timing 1993 1.8 Petrol - have I got this right?

Hi

I've managed to get the timing out on a 1993 1.8 16v petrol Mondeo. After reading Haynes BoL properly I've figured out this is how to set it up properly:

the belt is in situ and tensioned.

Lock camshafts using strip of steel at gearbox end (if they do not align then slacken pulley bolts and align them)

Get crankshaft timing marks aligned.

Retighten camshaft pulleys.

Is that it or am I missing something????

that is the right idea, but if you had tried to start it with timing wrong then you may have lunched the valves
