the testers manual is quite clear on relevant testing for old vehicles, basically you can't expect it to reach higher standards than it would have had when built. So poor brakes, smoke bald tyres, etc. are all OK You need to check for woodworm as appropriate, I wonder whether there is a pre written failure for woodworm?

Bald tyres? probably not. Look at the clip again, the quick glimpse of the spare tyre at 12 secs shows tread, as do a couple of shots in the workshop, so I assume that the tread standards of the day would be required.

The tread standards are not the same for elderly vehicles, I forget what they are exactly, but compared with normal they can be practically bald.
I hadn't watched the video, I was just giving examples that might be appropriate for something that old.
