Nationwide Autocentre

Are they any good? My Corsa needs is due a service and an MOT soon and there's a Nationwide Autocentre at the Halfords near my work. Normally I'd just take it to a local garage, but I'm new to the area, live in Hudds and work in Leeds so this is very convenient for me.

Thanks, Organoman.

The one I used to go to was ok, but not as good as when it was a Lex. It's since shut, as has the largest one they had in Glasgow. The remaining one was an Apple Car Centre, who had an awful reputation, so it I think it really depends on where you are. Some are OK, some aren't.

The Warrington one was a Lex, than a Halfords, then an AA, and now a Nationwide. Same staff, not bad service, although a bit slow, dim and too stupid to stamp service books. But the work is done right (I check).

My local one quoted me over =A3800 for repairs to my old carlton and in the end I did the work myself for less than =A3100. They quoted =A3350 for a recon propshaft when all I needed was a =A310 bush. I'd always be wary of any "extras" that places like this suggest are needed. Like someone else said, it really depends who's working there.
