I have seen claims you can get your car serviced at Nationwide carauto centres for as little as £25 using Tesco Clubcard vouchers.Anybody know anything about this? I know on says you can have a full service for £75 plus treble points on allyou spend. How many garages do this as part of astandard 12 mth service? I've never had one mention it. They neverseem to chage brake fluid or anti freeze unless you actually tell themto.Check wheels for balance and set torque to mfrs setting. Do theyactually do this though? The main dealers list items like this ontheir lists but I doubt they actually do it.Test and report brake fluid boiling point. They actually do this andfill in a number on the sheet? I've not seen this on the dealers listeven.It all sounds very good if they actually do all the things and notjust tick the sheet, I dont like handing over money to places for a'service' and not knowing what has been done or checked.

Don't post to quite so many groups and you'll find people are more amenableto help...Nationwide Autocentre (formerly Lex servicing), Rugby, have been servicingmy car for the last 18 months or so in when I decided that the localVauxhall garage wouldn't be getting any more of my hard-earned. I can onlyspeak for the Rugby branch, but they have been excellent and well-priced.And I get no end of Tesco points by using them as well!Prices are posted in the office and they may be open to haggling over largeritems (I needed an alternator a little while ago and they responded to my'is there any way to bring the price down' question in sterling fashion). Asit happens, one of the mechanics in my local one used to work at theVauxhall garage as well and is honest enough to let me know what will lastand what won't!Jon

I am the manager at Nationwide Autocentre in Pollockshaws Road Glasgow the service that is offered on the tesco deal is a full 72 point service, this normaly retails around the £94.00 mark (though it changes with each region)

Me thinks that you have had bad dealings with car repairers in the past (or does the reputation of the motor trade not give you any faith in any garage)
