Anecdotal but... one accident that wasn't caused by a trailer was the time when a mate of mine was narrowly missed by a bouncing trailer tyre that had fallen off the piece of s*it trailer being towed. We were on bikes at the time so the hit would have been very serious.
So you won't understand why people love their 70s Toyotas. I've mentioned my Corolla elsewhere; at the time I was a student and couldn't afford the insurance on a Celica, but it was the car I aspired to. One day I'd like to own one still.
