Non-permanent change of car colour

Jul 25, 2012 2 Replies

Daughter has expressed a wish to have her car vinyl wrapped for her 21st b/day. Car is currently black and she wants it white. Does she have to inform DVLA of a non-permanent change of colour? Regards, Iain

Although it appears not to be necessary, I would be inclined to advise them anyway. There's no charge, just a small part of the registration document to fill in.

Googling seems to suggest that it *is* important to advise the insurer.

The change is only to rob the bank, using it as a get away car, to pay for the party :)
