I'm looking for a diesel engine specialist to look at my '96 Astra 1.7TD engine. 130K, with lots of exhaust smoke on starting and when the throttle is hard down. I suspect the turbo isn't working properly and would like someone knowledgeable to look at it.
Any recommendations?
i have a 95 TD Astra with the isuzu engine and the MOT guy said it was the smokiest he'd measured in 15 years!!! although it didnt look that bad
got a mechanic to run some Millers diesel engine cleaner thru the engine and passed the mot ok Turbo never really worked on mine either
