This is bang on topic for a car group - I have long been considering covering my car with stone tiles in order to prevent parking damage caused by semi-blind old women who fling open their doors.

I just didn't know where to get the necessary material from - but, thanks to your post, I now do.

I fancy marble for the doors (nice and hard wearing) with a contrasting slate for the wings and bonnet (or, 'hood', as you probably call it ) with sandstone for the boot (trunk) and roof.

What adhesive do you recommend? - cement based, or some sort of epoxy resin based stuff?
