HINTON — A California woman died Friday afternoon after the pickup she was riding in blew a tire and rolled in western Canadian County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. About 3:30 p.m., Elaine Stone, 69, of Sherman Oaks, Calif., was traveling in an eastbound pickup on Interstate 40, four miles northeast of Hinton, when the a rear tire blew out and the driver, Lionel Stone, 68, also of Sherman Oaks, lost control and the vehicle rolled over, according to a patrol report. Elaine Stone died at the scene. Lionel Stone was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital in critical condition, troopers said. Both were wearing seat belts.
