LOL! The CV boots would have been a whole lot easier if I had just separated the bottom balljoint rather than believing the Haynes manual where it says to just disconnect the track-rod end and swivel it. Which *just* works, removing the driveshaft, but putting it back in it's a complete bastard. .

I'd happily do another set of anti-roll bar bushes though - piece of piss :-)

My little job for some evening over the next 2 weeks is to change a pair of upper track control arm bushes and a middle box on the exhaust on the E34. 2 bushes at £10ea and a box at £40 isn't too bad I suppose for the last 18mths and 36k 9apart from service items). The total is now 332,000 and still behaving.
