Hi, the high pressure hose on my rover 400 is leaking and drips on to the manifold. it is worse when turning the wheels on full lock and when parking up. the smoke is a little worrying not only to myself but to those that are around to see it :-) can I get a replacement from any car shop or is it a dealer part. is there such a thing as a rover dealer now?

Yes. But I expect a motor factor would be cheaper.
Dunno about where to buy Rover parts, but if you remove the hose and take it to a hydraulic hose supplier, (Yellow Pages should find one) they should be able to make a replacement by fitting a new hose to the unions from the old hose. As Chris has mentioned, it'll probably be cheaper than the OE part, and using the old unions should make it even cheaper. Mike.
You can buy a brand spankin new one at Colliers. Very cheap, only £93.20 inc VAT. I know cuz I've just had the pleasure of buyin one for a 98 420 GSI.
You're joking? For one hose? I had new hoses fitted locally to the old fittings of both p/s hoses on an Rover SD1 a couple of years ago for around £30. Mike.
It's similar to this one, only mine's got a nice silver heatwrap around the rubber part.
