Princess Calipers, again

I spotted the magazine that covers them today. Apparently the two pistons have less area than some of the original Ford calipers do, so it's all a bit pointless. That and the Editor has obviously had woes with dust seals and rusty pistons.

Not really. The effective pressure is applied to the pad more evenly so you don't get the middle doing a lot and the outers doing sod all.

Oh, and you want a piston with a smaller area so the brake fluid being forced into the caliper forces the piston out more.

How will that help? If you need that much free travel sorting out the out of roundness on your discs or the slop in the caliper mountings (generally none with two pots) will cure it anyway.
