Radiator disintergating after 4 years

The very thin horizontal cooling fins in my (94 corolla) Radiator aredisintegrating and dropping out, and are very brittle.The upright tubes carrying the coolent in the radiator still seem o.k. Thisradiator i bought new about four years ago, admittedly quite cheap, butshould it be doing this?where it has gone brittle is in two large patches that have lost the blackpaint the radiator is painted in. if i were to respray those areas in ablack cellulose might that halt the rot, or what else to do?Grateful for any advice. thanks john west.

OK then get an all metal European made radiator.

From North London it'd take about 30-40 minutes to get there once you hit the M1. Well worth it IMHO.

Bit pointless in the UK, the plastic tanked ones seem to outlast the cores.
