Renault 5 starter

Anyone got any tips for how to change a Renault 5 1400 Campus starter motor?

You could do a lot worse than try putting a litre of Startease in it first, this usually cures most starter motor problems in around twenty minutes, you just pour it into the oil filler and then push start the car and run it up to temperature and let it idle for ten minutes, it is available from

If you can, get the car up as high as you can on axle stands, ramps or a pit, and work from below.

Undo the wiring, then the three big bolts securing it to the gearbox. Don't lose the dowel fitted to one on them.

Basically the Haynes manual does cover it quite well.
