Hi all I have a 2 litre manual laguna. The starter motior would work fine then make a very slight rubbing noise after startup. This lasted a few weeks, then the starter would not start the car, it was as if it was locked, would not tuern the engine at all.
I changed the starter for a good one, it worked fine for a few weeks, then it suffered the same problem, but with no noise.
i.e. some times it would turn the engine very slowly then pick and start some time it was totally dead with no engine turning when the car was properly warm it was better, but even trying it jusr after the car had started could result in a problem.
