What a bitch to do!!! Anyone else on here done one? (V reg, 1.6i 16v) Well, after being in the trade 11 years, I can quite possibly say that this is the worse cambelt I've ever done. My old trick of marking all the sprockets with tip-ex also went out the window, when I had all the marks nicely lined up, with the new belt on, only to find that when I went to turn the crank over by hand, *only* the crank started turning, making my marks about as much use as a chocolate fireguard! - I now know that with the bottom pulley off, the bottom sprocket is free wheeling! - Any other cars like this? I know some cars have camshafts set this way, but crankshaft?
