Revs sticking after light rear end shunt

Oct 15, 2004 2 Replies

SO got shunted yesterday, only a few miles an hour, bust a couple of clips on the bumpers, smashed the number plate, and unfortunately lightly creased the boot floor (Ka). Since the ding the revs have intermittently been sticking, most noticeable when you change gear and the revs stay up, if you leave the clutch in then eventually they come down to close to idle. Could it be related? - anything in the petrol tank area that could have been bashed? Can't see anything and as expected everything under the bonnet looks hunky dory. W reg, 28k

Thanks

Is the exhaust folded or bent? could the shock have hit the exhaust hard enough to crak a manifold joint, or smash the honeycomb in the cat? Just a thought.

The exhaust is untouched. Looking like an insurance job now as got an estimate for 1k for the bodywork.

thanks
