Hi All,
Possibly slightly ot but it at least it is indirectly to do with car maintenance .. ;-)
I was half watching Scrapheap Challenge yesterday (they were making drag cars) and both some team members and the commentator(s?) referred to the fiberglass three wheeler made by Reliant that one team was using as the 'Robin Reliant'.
Why_oh_why don't these people realise what they are saying .. it's like saying 'Focus Ford' or "Corsa Vauxhall".
Mind you, I dare say if you asked many of them what car they drove they might say "a red one". :-(
I've even heard a traffic cop say Robin Reliant on one of those Police action progs ...
I wonder if they think the word 'Reliant' is simply describing a virtue of the car .. like "Zardoc the undefeated" ..?
Anyway, I got an apologetic email back from C4 but I'm pretty sure it's not going to help in the future (and I don't generally write in about stuff but this is one of my pet hates).
That's better, thanks, all the best .. ;-)
