No - Rover don't make their own autos and use different makers for different models. Think the 800 was unusual in that it used a Honda box.
I've a suspicion the smaller ones use CVT types - and they're bad news.
The 825 and 827 used Honda's wierd manual-hybrid-auto-box, whilst the 820 used a ZF epicyclic. I think the 600 series used a Honda epicyclic and the new shape 400 series uses another manual-hybrid thingy (probably the same thing used on the new shape 200). I don't recall any Rovers using CVT though some of the smaller Fords did.
