Saab 93 headlamp wipers

Jan 23, 2006 2 Replies

Hi all

Both headlamp wipers move only intermittently stopping at any odd position

Seems odd as I assume that they are separate units for each headlight I am thinking power supply problem but cannot find a relay in the fuse unit

I guess that I will need to remove each headlight and check the motors unless anyone can advise as to where the feed may be

Regards

Tony

The motors get a half-second +12V pulse on pin 2 of their connectors to start them off (triggered by using the washers). After that, they run themselves from an ignition switched +12V on pin 3 They should do

2 wipes before they stop.

If they both just run for the half-second, then it's probably the pin

3 feed that's missing. It runs off the same fuse as the pin 2 pulse, so the fuse must be OK. That leaves the wiring as the most likely fault.

Cheers,

Colin.

Thanks for this I will have a look at the wiring
