They French offer this advice for driving the 2CV: "ne freine pas" :)
That's why they could get away with so little power. Once moving it couldn't stop.
Though actually it has very good brakes.
Inboard drums - dismantly the complete car and take the engine out to gain access to repair if the seals leak.
Probably the intention was to last the lifetime of the car ....
Yebbut the engine is tiny :-)
Anyway, inboard discs, notable for being easy to maintain.
