Squeaking chirping Mondeo

My 52 registration Mondeo has been plagued with squeaking / chirping noises, usually when travelling at 50 - 70 mph on the motorway. It stops if I apply the slightest pressure to the brake pedal. The car has been in to the garage twice to have the rear calipers greased - and that seemed to fix it - but the squeak has come back and the garage say they can't find anything wrong this time. It squeaked all the way to work this morning, but when I felt around the wheels for heat, they didn't seem that hot - not like they were time times before. I think the sound is coming from the front this time. It makes exactly the same noise. Last night, parking outside my house, I think I heard a squeak as the car rolled very slowly back into my space. What could be wrong?

Um, you don't have some small furry creature in your car somewhere do you? You would not be the first.

There is a rear brake rebuild kit for this problem on 51 reg Mondeos for binding brakes, 2 friends at work had the problem A sure sign is rear pads wearing as quick or quicker than the fronts. 52's might be the same.
